Job Description
Montefiore Medical Center is seeking dedicated Physician Assistants to join its esteemed Department of Oncology in the Bronx, New York. In this role, clinicians will collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care, manage medical complications, and advocate for patients. Successful candidates will demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge in a semi-autonomous role to support patients through their cancer treatment journey.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with physician and other healthcare providers for planning, evaluation, coordination, implementation and facilitation of all facets of care for patients
• Provide both direct and indirect patient care in a semi-autonomous, self-directed role in accordance with professional standards and clinical expertise
• Conduct thorough oncology history and physical examinations
• Review and interpret imaging and laboratory information
• Manage medical complications related to advanced cancer
• Manage patients with chemotherapy side effects and complications
• Administer and prescribe specialty medications
• Discuss patient care and progress with medical team
Compensation
• Hourly Rate: $76.52
• Hiring rate could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors
Shift & Schedule
• Work Shift: Night
• Work Days: ALTERNATE WORK SCHEDULE
• Scheduled Hours: 7 PM-7:30 AM
• Scheduled Daily Hours: 12.5 HOURS
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's Degree preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program
• Registered as a Physician's Assistant in New York State
• NCCPA certified
• 6 months of Physician Assistant experience required
• Oncology experience preferred
• Must be able to work across multiple campuses (Moses and Einstein), if necessary
