Job Description
Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Physician Assistant with strong interpersonal and empathetic skills to manage and deliver quality treatment plans for patients in an outpatient setting. This role focuses on Hematology/Oncology patient care, requiring comprehension of diagnostic procedures and the ability to work effectively within a team-based approach. The successful candidate will contribute to optimal patient medical management and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
• Conduct follow-up visits for Hematology/Oncology patients to ensure physical stability during treatment
• Manage acute visits for any Hematology Oncology acute concerns
• Evaluate and treat infusion reactions
• Reach tentative diagnosis of medical, surgical, and other conditions
• Develop treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management
• Order consultations and interact with members of other specialty medical teams
• Educate clients on treatments and management of symptoms, discuss emotional and social impact of care, and discuss end-of-life issues when appropriate
• Prescribe medication, write orders, perform procedures, and respond to emergency and/or immediate condition changes of acute patients
Compensation
• PAY RANGE: $75 - $75
• The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
• It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
• Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

Requirements

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior
• Hematology Oncology experience preferred
• BS: Physician Assistant (Required)
• PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
