Provide comprehensive care and support to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants, including monitoring and managing potential complications and side effects.
Collaborate with physicians to perform procedures, such as bone marrow biopsies and central line placements.
Educate patients and their families on the transplant process, potential risks and benefits, and post-transplant care.
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication administration.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and quality care.
Stay up-to-date on best practices and advancements in bone marrow transplant treatment and care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of protocols and policies for the bone marrow transplant department.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
