Job Description
The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in Breckenridge, TX and we are looking to hire a proficient and qualified Physical Therapist Assistants for their Physical Therapy Department.
Reporting to the Physical Therapy Director the PTA provides safe and effective therapy services to patients with physical illness or injury, congenital or developmental disabilities, or age-related conditions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist across all practice settings.
Schedule: Full-Time
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional patient care and service
• Progress patient plans of care established by the Physical Therapist
• Communicate with physicians through progress notes and discharge summaries in consultation with the supervising PT
• Communicate regularly with the supervising PT regarding treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and potential discharge
• Supervise rehabilitation aides and administrative staff as needed
• Complete daily documentation, including patient charts, progress notes, discharge summaries, SOAP notes, charge slips, total sheets, and insurance or plan-of-care forms
• Maintain accurate and current patient records, including prescriptions, tally sheets, and insurance coverage
• Communicate with physicians regarding therapy services, locations, quality of care, and service philosophy
• Provide timely written and verbal communication and follow up as needed
• Maintain professional skills through continuing education, program involvement, staff in-services, and professional meetings
• May aid as a program manager, site coordinator of clinical education, regional coordinator, educational coordinator, or specialty technique coordinator as needed, with additional incentives when applicable
What We Are Looking For
Education, Experience, Licensure and Certifications
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
• 2+ years of outpatient experience preferred
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Current CPR certification
Additional Skills and Attributes
• Ability to perform required visual, communication, and office-based activities
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20–25 lbs
