Pharmacy Manager RPH - Long Term Care/Institutional Pharmacy

Role Description The Pharmacy Manager RPH will oversee daily operations of the long term care/institutional pharmacy, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications. Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, managing workflow, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. The role involves verifying prescriptions, resolving medication-related issues, coordinating with nursing and facility staff, and supporting consultant pharmacist activities. The Pharmacy Manager RPH will also contribute to quality assurance initiatives, policy development, inventory management, and implementation of process improvements and technology solutions. This is a full-time, on-site role located in York, PA, requiring regular collaboration with internal teams and partner facilities.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice in long term care or institutional settings
• Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with Pharmacy Technicians and other pharmacy staff
• Demonstrated expertise in Prescription verification, medication dispensing, and medication safety
• Experience with Immunization services and related clinical pharmacy activities
• Current Registered Pharmacist (RPH) license in Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Prior leadership or management experience in a pharmacy environment preferred
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for long term care facilities and institutional pharmacies
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, medication packaging technologies, and electronic health records
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and provide patient-centered care
