Responsibilities
The oncology infusion pharmacist is responsible for drug distribution, drug therapy monitoring, patient education, chemotherapy order processing, product verification, precepting learners/residents, participating in research projects, leading and participating in quality improvement initiatives, and providing integrated care and medication therapy management services to patients receiving treatment. This individual will also conduct comprehensive patient clinical reviews, assist with clinical consults, and support the medication use process for patients on investigational therapies/cancer clinical trials. This individual will develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmacy staff, medical oncology staff, and Mayo Clinic staff and patients.
This position will be based in Rochester.

Qualifications
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Other advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s, Ph.D.) and applicable Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) or other certification applicable to the position as determined by the supervisor preferred. Completion of pharmacy residency and specialization (e.g., PGY-2 and respective BPS certification), if applicable, preferred. Evidence of ongoing scholarly pursuits including research/quality improvement, publications, or scientific presentations preferred. Relevant applicable pharmacy experience working in a progressive and collaborative practice environment preferred. Experience and/or interest in teaching and/or precepting preferred. Commitment to excellence, accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork required. Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with others, organizes time well, practice with an agile mindset, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision required.
License/Certification: Current pharmacist license by the Board of Pharmacy in the state(s) of the job's practice site, or eligible to obtain within a time frame compliant with the site’s applicable employee licensure policy. May not independently fulfill responsibilities reserved only to a pharmacist until license is obtained.
