Job Description

We are seeking a Part-Time Oncology & Investigational Pharmacist to support our outpatient oncology and clinical research programs. This role is responsible for chemotherapy order verification, investigational drug oversight, medication safety, sterile compounding supervision, and regulatory compliance. The pharmacist will work closely with physicians, nurses, research staff, and pharmacy technicians to ensure the safe and effective delivery of oncology treatments and clinical trial medications.





Responsibilities


- Verify chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care medication orders.
- Review dosing, lab results, drug interactions, toxicities, and treatment modifications.
- Ensure treatment regimens comply with NCCN guidelines and oncology best practices.
- Provide clinical support to physicians, nurses, and other care team members.
- Supervise sterile compounding activities and maintain USP 797 and USP 800 compliance.
- Support medication safety initiatives and required pharmacy documentation.
- Oversee medication inventory, ordering, storage, and pharmacy operations.
- Manage investigational drug services, including storage, dispensing, accountability, and protocol compliance.
- Support sponsor audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Serve as a clinical resource for oncology and research-related pharmacy activities.






Qualifications


- PharmD or equivalent degree.
- Active Pharmacist license.
- Experience in Oncology Pharmacy required.
- Experience with chemotherapy order verification and infusion therapies.
- Knowledge of NCCN Guidelines.
- Experience with USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
- Clinical research or Investigational Drug Services (IDS) experience preferred.
- BCOP certification preferred.
