Job TitlePharmacy TechnicianDutiesThe duties include:Providing comprehensive medication therapy management for oncology and hematology patientsReviewing, verifying, and adjusting chemotherapy and biologic regimens for indication, dose, and toxicityMonitoring therapeutic response, adverse effects, drug interactions, and organ functionCounseling patients and families on chemotherapy, biologics, and side-effect managementManaging infusion-related and hypersensitivity reactions in clinic settingsProviding pharmacokinetic consultations and therapeutic drug monitoringAssisting in supportive care management including pain, nausea, hypercalcemia, and infectionConducting telehealth assessments and managing treatment remotelyEvaluating and approving non-formulary and restricted medication requestsProviding drug information and recommendations to multidisciplinary care teamsCoordinating with oncology, hematology, and infusion services to optimize therapyPrecepting and training pharmacy residents, students, and new staffEducating nursing, pharmacy, and physician staff on chemotherapy and cancer pharmacotherapyDesigning, supervising, and supporting post-doctoral oncology residency trainingParticipating in and publishing oncology-related clinical research and case studiesReviewing oncology order sets and formulary content for accuracy and policy compliancePreparing drug utilization evaluations and quality assurance reportsServing as liaison between oncology pharmacy and hospital departmentsRepresenting Pharmacy Service in institutional committees and initiativesMaintaining licensure, certifications, and continuing educationEnsuring adherence to safety procedures and proper use of protective equipmentComplying with patient privacy, computer security, and documentation standardsWork Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Telework : Ad-hoc only, available in accordance with agency policies Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
