Job Description
• Compensation: $75,000 base plus bonuses.
• Location: St. Louis, Missouri
• Type: Full-time, salaried
• Schedule: [Monday–Friday, 8:30–5:30; possible evening/weekend coverage]
This role is for a MO licensed attorney who wants to use legal judgment at the front door — not manage a litigation docket. You will evaluate new personal injury matters, advise prospective clients, and sign qualified cases. You will be working with current intake staff. Files you retain go to a handing lawyer. You do not carry a caseload and you do not appear in court.
You will use legal judgment on every lead. You will also have the authority to decline cases that do not meet our standards.
What you will do
• Take attorney-level intake on inbound leads (phone, video, chat, or in office) from people who have already contacted the firm
• Run conflict checks before discussing the matter in substance or signing
• Screen for liability, damages, coverage, venue, limitations periods, comparative fault, and firm fit — and decline or refer matters that are not a fit
• Supervise and coach nonlawyer intake staff on issue-spotting and quality; legal advice and retainer execution stay with you
• Hand off a complete, conflict-cleared signed file to a handling attorney
What this role is not
• Not a litigation or pre-litigation caseload
• Not court appearances, depositions, or trial
• Not a mandate to sign every lead. Acceptance decisions rest on your professional judgment

Required
• Active member of The Missouri Bar in good standing
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to evaluate cases independently and communicate clearly with injured clients
Preferred
• Plaintiff personal injury, or high-volume intake and signing experience
• Experience with legal intake CRMs and remote retainers
• Some comfort with [evenings / weekends], as needed
Pay and benefits Full-time W-2 employee. Base salary $75,000 plus bonusses to start. Benefits include medical insurance, paid time off, Missouri Bar dues and required CLE, and coverage under the firm’s professional liability policy. The exact bonus formula is discussed in the interview.
