Job Description
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Pediatric Oncology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This is a collaborative recruitment supported by the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, the Darby Children’s Research Institute, the Hollings Cancer Center, and the Integrated Center for Cellular Therapy.
We are seeking a physician-scientist with a research focus on immune-based approaches for the treatment of childhood cancers. Candidates with expertise in CAR T‑cell or other cellular therapies are of particular interest. Additional areas of consideration include:
• The role of immune cells in the tumor microenvironment
• Mechanisms of immune suppression
• Development of novel immunotherapies
Ideal Candidates
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
• MD or MD/PhD with a strong record of research accomplishments and peer‑reviewed publications
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a nationally recognized translational and clinical research program
• Commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows
