Job Description
The Cancer and Blood Disorders Department at Children’s Minnesota is seeking a full-time Pediatric Oncology Physician to serve as Program Lead for a newly developed Cell Therapy & Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Program .
Children’s Minnesota has received full institutional approval to pursue FACT accreditation, with the goal of expanding care for our patients with cancer and blood disorders to include cellular and gene therapies and autologous bone marrow transplantation.
Children’s Minnesota is the 10th largest Children’s Hospital in North America. Our pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders program comprises over 200 dedicated professionals, including 21 physicians and 15 nurse practitioners, as well as nurse case managers, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, dietitians, genetic counsellors, social workers, child life experts, interpreters, home care and hospice specialists.
POSITION INFORMATION
1.0 FTE position with 0.4 FTE of protected time dedicated to the Cellular Therapies/Autologous Transplant Program Lead role.
The remaining 0.6 FTE will be dedicated to the clinical care of oncology patients. The oncology disease focus is dependent on the interests and expertise of the desired candidate.
Children’s Minnesota is a teaching hospital to medical students, residents, and fellows from the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic. Academic inquiry and research are highly valued but not required. We have a strong clinical trial program with robust involvement in the Children's Oncology Group (COG) clinical trials.
