Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Role Description This part-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner role is an on-site position based in Bloomingdale, IL. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care services to pediatric patients, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing appropriate medications, and delivering preventive care such as immunizations and routine screenings. The role also involves educating patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies, while maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and uphold practice protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications
• Clinical practice skills as a Nurse Practitioner, including autonomous and collaborative care delivery
• Specialized expertise in Pediatric Nursing, with experience caring for infants, children, and adolescents
• Strong foundation in Medicine and Primary Care, including health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic condition management
• Professional Nursing skills, including patient assessment, care planning, and evidence-based practice
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Illinois and board certification as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner
• CPR/BLS certification; PALS certification preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work on-site in Bloomingdale, IL, manage a part-time schedule, and maintain accurate electronic health records
• Previous experience in outpatient pediatrics or primary care is preferred
