Pediatric Hematology​/Oncology Medical Director

Sutter Medical Group seeks a passionate Medical Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist Director to lead the clinical and strategic direction of our pediatric hematology and oncology program while maintaining an active clinical practice. Responsibilities
• Serve as Medical Director of the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Program, providing strategic and clinical leadership to advance program goals and quality standards
• Oversee the development and implementation of clinical protocols
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across hematology/oncology optimize program efficiency and patient outcomes
• Contribute to strategic planning and growth of the pediatric hematology/oncology program
• Represent the program at institutional and external meetings, conferences, and collaborative initiatives
• Provide direct patient care, with a clinical focus in pediatric hematology/oncology
• Maintain an active outpatient and inpatient clinical schedule, with responsibilities proportioned to accommodate leadership duties
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, tumor boards, and clinical rounds
• Support and mentor advanced practice providers, junior physicians and APCs in clinical settings

Compensation
• 2-year income guarantee: $350,000 per year
• Generous call pay opportunity on top of guarantee

Requirements
• MD or DO with board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
• Board Eligibility for medical licensure in California
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
• Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship clinical and/or leadership experience preferred
• Proven leadership in clinical program development, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Strong commitment to medicine, clinical research, and teaching
