Position OverviewDriscoll Health System is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing program at Driscoll Children’s Hospital – Rio Grande Valley, located in Edinburg, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to serve an underserved population while advancing pediatric care in South Texas.
Position Highlights:
Join a robust and expanding division serving children and young adults with a full spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions
Active member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), with 50–60 new oncology cases annually
Multidisciplinary support team including:
Clinical Research Associates (CRAs)
Pharmacist (Pharm.D.)
Case Manager
Registered Dietitian
Social Workers
Child Life Specialist
Chaplain
Clinical role includes inpatient and outpatient care, participation in tumor boards and COG research initiatives
Teaching opportunities available
No in-house call required
Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas
Passion for clinical care and service to medically underserved populations
