Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and champion clinical excellence for a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high standards of comprehensive care for approximately 250 pediatric sickle cell patients.
• Drive program growth by developing and evaluating evidence-based protocols that enhance patient outcomes and the delivery of care.
• Cultivate partnerships with academic, community, and advocacy stakeholders to expand program reach and strengthen support within the community.
• Provide clinical leadership for the multidisciplinary Sickle Cell Disease program, recognized as a NASCC site.
About the Practice:
• 13 experienced Pediatric Hematology-Oncology physicians.
• Integrated team including advanced practice providers, program coordinator, social work, and psychology.
• Outpatient, weekday clinic operations.
• Close collaboration on joint initiatives in pain management, pulmonary hypertension, moyamoya/vasculopathy, and quality improvement.
• Active involvement in educating and training future physicians through the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin.
• Part of the only Pediatric Level I Trauma Center in the region, serving 46 counties in and around central Texas.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Licensure/Certification: Licensed Physician MD/DO, credentialed from the Texas Medical Board prior to hire or job transfer date.
• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
