Job Description
Patient Care Coordinator — Elite Family Chiropractic Charleston, SC Approximately 31 hours per week Starting at $19/hour
I’m looking for someone with strong people skills, a caring heart, and a track record of following through. Someone who notices when a patient seems overwhelmed, takes the time to make them feel comfortable, and remembers to follow up. Someone who takes pride in doing their job well and wants to contribute to a team for the long term. You don’t need an advanced degree or clinical credential. You do need responsibility, attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a sincere desire to help others.
About our office
At Elite Family Chiropractic, we help people dealing with neck pain, back pain, injuries, and other spine-related problems. Many arrive frustrated, uncomfortable, or worried about what their symptoms mean. Our approach begins with understanding the person and what is affecting their life. We provide individualized, nonsurgical care and collaborate with other healthcare providers when patients need additional help.
We want patients to feel heard, understand their care, and know they have a team supporting them. As our Patient Care Coordinator, you will play an important part in that experience.
Our values are straightforward:
- Treat patients the way we would treat our own family.
- Work to understand what is causing their problems and help them regain their quality of life.
- Help them reach the right provider when they need care beyond what we offer.
- Build care plans around the individual.
What you’ll do
This position combines patient relationships with the organization needed to keep an office running smoothly. Your responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients and managing check-in and checkout.
- Answering calls, scheduling appointments, and directing clinical questions to the appropriate team member.
- Keeping the schedule organized and addressing cancellations, missed appointments and scheduling conflicts.
- Following up with patients who need reminders, encouragement, or help coordinating appointments.
- Collecting payments, reviewing balances, verifying insurances and processing transactions accurately.
- Preparing schedules, re-examination paperwork, and patient materials.
- Helping coordinate patient flow and communicating clearly with the doctor and clinical team.
- Recognizing problems early, taking initiative, and helping coworkers when priorities shift.
The details matter. A returned phone call, an accurate payment, or a thoughtful conversation can make a meaningful difference in someone’s experience.
Who will thrive here
We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys people and treats them with patience, warmth, and respect.
- Believes in the value of chiropractic care and wants to learn more about spine health.
- Stays organized and communicates calmly when several things need attention.
- Takes ownership, follows through, and asks questions when unsure.
- Welcomes feedback and supports the people around them.
- Wants a long-term role with a team whose work matters to them.
Schedule and compensation
Starting pay is $19/hour, with an increase upon successful completion of training within the first 90 days.
