Role Description The Patient Care Coordinator at 10 On 10 Physical Therapy is a part-time, on-site role based in Morris Plains, NJ. This position is responsible for greeting patients, managing appointment scheduling, and coordinating the flow of patients through the clinic to support efficient and positive visits. Day-to-day tasks include answering phones, responding to inquiries, verifying patient information, and maintaining accurate records in the scheduling and documentation systems. The coordinator works closely with physical therapists to support care plans, confirm follow-up visits, and help patients understand next steps in their treatment. Additional responsibilities may include processing intake forms, assisting with insurance or billing questions, and ensuring a clean, organized front desk and waiting area.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong appointment scheduling and phone etiquette skills to manage patient calls and visits efficiently.
• Candidates should possess care coordination and patient care skills to support smooth clinical workflows and positive patient experiences.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate accurate communication with providers and patients.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills, with the ability to work calmly and professionally in a busy clinical environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic scheduling or medical record systems are preferred.
• Prior experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or medical office setting is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework in healthcare administration or related fields is a plus.
