The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care to patients via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices. This position requires coordination with the care team to deliver seamless care, facilitate patient participation in planning, and assist providers during clinical procedures.

Work Schedule:
• 24 hours per week, Monday - Friday, between 8 AM - 5:30 PM

Primary Responsibilities:
• Display clinical competence in providing care to patients and their families, considering developmental differences.
• Have a solid understanding of common diseases and treatments, including relevant diagnostic/testing procedures.
• Adopt a proactive approach to patient care, addressing individual and family needs promptly.
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to support patients and families in managing their health and making healthy behavior changes.
• Work closely with patients and the healthcare team to set goals and prioritize care based on individual needs.
• Contribute to ongoing assessments and management of patient populations using your clinical expertise.
• Perform telephone triage with focus on assessment and decision-making.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring for side effects.
• Provide up-to-date clinical information to patients, adhering to accepted standards and protocols.
• Execute technical procedures competently, such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and IV management.
• Seek guidance from physicians and colleagues as needed.
• Handle hazardous drugs as part of this infusion nurse role.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Active Registered Nurse license in New York State with good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of oncology or hospital experience.
• Proficient IV skills, including IV placements and mediport access.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.).
• Current BLS certification.
• 2+ years of relevant nursing experience in clinical settings.
• 1+ years as a registered nurse or 2+ years as a licensed practical nurse in a related area.
• Experience in mixing and administering chemotherapy drugs.

Pay is determined by various factors, including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. In addition to competitive wages, we offer comprehensive benefits, incentives, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility). The hourly pay for this role ranges from $29.00 to $52.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We adhere to all minimum wage regulations.
