PART-TIME HOME INFUSION PHARMACIST
Location: Orland Park, IL
Work Arrangement: On-site
Pay: $65/hour (negotiable based on experience)
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 16+ hours/week
Additional Opportunity: Temporary full-time coverage for approximately 2 weeks in November 2026; additional hours may become available
Key Requirement: Active, unrestricted Illinois Pharmacist license
Preferred: Home infusion, specialty pharmacy, sterile compounding, IV therapy, or USP experience
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Part-Time Home Infusion Pharmacist to support its growing pharmacy team.
This role offers a flexible part-time schedule with the potential for additional hours as the pharmacy grows. You’ll work closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge and pharmacy team to support safe, accurate, and efficient patient care.
What You’ll Do
• Review and verify prescriptions and infusion therapy orders
• Ensure safe and accurate medication preparation and dispensing
• Support sterile compounding and infusion pharmacy operations
• Review patient profiles for appropriate therapy, dosing, interactions, and allergies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other care team members
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy documentation
• Support medication inventory and pharmacy workflow
• Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations, policies, and quality standards
• Provide pharmacist coverage as needed
What You’ll Bring
• Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacist license
• PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy program
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Availability for approximately 2 weeks of increased coverage in November 2026
• Availability for an ongoing part-time schedule of approximately 16+ hours/week
Preferred Experience
• Home infusion pharmacy
• Specialty pharmacy
• Sterile compounding
• IV medications or infusion therapies
• USP environments
