Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate nursing care to patients in a hospice setting. You will employ the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to address the unique needs of patients and their families. Your role involves collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, to ensure a continuum of care that enhances quality of life.
Key responsibilities include:
• Implementing the nursing process within the scope of nursing practice.
• Conducting patient assessments and education.
• Performing various nursing interventions tailored to the hospice environment.
As part of our team, you will uphold the standards of the Nurse Practice Act and the Code of Ethics for Nurses set by the American Nurses Association.
Qualifications
We prefer candidates who have:
• A degree from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred).
• At least one year of professional nursing experience.
• An unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Certificate for Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) is a plus.
