This position provides administrative oversight for community outreach and education initiatives focused on cancer prevention and early detection. The role works collaboratively with key internal departments and external stakeholders, including corporate and community health teams, AMG providers, and community agencies, to deliver relevant, evidence-based cancer education and targeted outreach programs. The position ensures compliance with grant requirements and regulatory standards while driving measurable impact in community health outcomes.
Principal Accountabilities: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of community outreach goals and objectives in compliance with grant requirements and applicable regulatory or accrediting agencies. Coordinate, develop, and evaluate cancer outreach and education programs in collaboration with hospital departments, physicians, and community partners. Design and assess outreach strategies using evidence-based models and evaluation techniques, monitoring indicators related to productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.
Provide oversight and supervision of outreach assistants and staff, including personnel supporting patient navigation services under the Screen NJ grant. Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and statistical data as required by departmental standards, hospital policy, grant guidelines, and regulatory agencies. Serve as a liaison between the hospital and community organizations to strengthen partnerships and expand access to cancer education and screening services.
Participate in community events, educational sessions, and outreach activities as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
