Job Description
Methodist Medical Group (MMG), a premier physician-led organization affiliated with Methodist Health System in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused board-certified Palliative Care physician to join our interdisciplinary team. This opportunity is ideal for those who excel in a collaborative medical group environment and are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
• Provide inpatient-only palliative care consultations for hospitalized patients with serious or life-limiting illnesses.
• Lead family meetings and facilitate goals-of-care discussions.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including nursing, social work, chaplaincy, and case management.
• Support transitions of care, including coordination with hospice when appropriate.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to program development.
Qualifications:
• Board Certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, or completion of a Geriatrics Fellowship.
• Texas medical license (or ability to obtain one).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
