Oral Surgeon

Role Description This is a full-time/part time, on-site Oral Surgeon role based in Ledgewood, NJ. The Oral Surgeon will perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including extractions, bone grafts, dental implants, and corrective and reconstructive surgeries, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical quality and patient safety. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, administering anesthesia and sedation as appropriate, and collaborating with general dentists and specialists to coordinate care. The role also involves educating patients about treatment options and post-operative care, documenting procedures and findings in the practice’s systems, and participating in quality assurance and infection control protocols. The Oral Surgeon will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling, timely follow-up, and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications




- Strong clinical skills in Oral Surgery and Dentistry, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in Anesthesiology practices relevant to oral and maxillofacial surgery, including local anesthesia, sedation, and patient monitoring.
- Experience with Dental Implants, including placement, restoration coordination, and management of associated grafting procedures.
- Solid foundation in Medicine as it relates to oral surgery, including medical history review, risk assessment, and management of systemic conditions.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited institution; completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency.
- Current state dental license (or eligibility to obtain) and appropriate anesthesia permits; board certification or board eligibility in oral and maxillofacial surgery preferred.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
- Attention to detail in documentation, adherence to infection control and safety standards, and willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development.
