A well-established, physician-led ophthalmology practice in the New York area is seeking a
Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, Cataract Surgeon, or Fellowship-Trained Specialist to join its growing team in Amityville, NY.
This is an outstanding opportunity to inherit an established patient base with immediate clinical and surgical volume due to the upcoming retirement of a long-tenured physician. - High-volume cataract surgery

- Select cornea cases within the practice
The group maintains a focused scope of care, with glaucoma, retina, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, and pediatric cases referred externally, allowing physicians to concentrate on comprehensive ophthalmology and surgical care.

What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care to a diverse patient population
- Perform cataract evaluations and surgery
- Diagnose and manage ocular disease

- Build long-term patient relationships in a well-established community practice
Fellowship-trained specialists are encouraged to apply, and the practice is open to a variety of subspecialty interests.
What You Can Expect
We are looking to backfill a physician leaving for academics. $2M+ in collections with high premium IOL, FEMTO, and LASIK volume.
What We’re Looking For
- MD or DO degree with completion of Ophthalmology residency
- Board-certified or board-eligible
- Fellowship training welcomed but not required
- Strong clinical and surgical skills
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent patient care focus
Both experienced ophthalmologists and upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary starting at $335,000+
- Production and performance bonuses
