Myriad Oncology is looking for a sales professional who is passionate about improving the lives of patients with cancer. As an Oncology Product Specialist, you will be responsible for:
• Strong clinical message and knowledge of the specialty oncology space. In depth product knowledge of our oncology product line, future product expansions, and innovations in oncology.
• Collaboration and building trust with counterparts; field-based on the job training; Project Management including developing and collaborating to create a Strategic plan with your counterparts.
• Increase Utility (depth and breadth) of the Oncology Treatment Portfolio.
• Prospect, gain access, and sell into the oncology circle of care through protocols/pathways/processes with the products within Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Pathology, and Genetics in a consultative manner.
• Lead Area teammates, along with the Area Manager, on Oncology product initiatives and growth with motivation, education, and alignment

The Oncology Product Specialist also provides education on Myriad Oncology science, research, test results, and interpretation. Myriad Oncology tests can be used to guide personalized medical management decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
• Partners with assigned Area Manager to assist in the overall development and implementation of the area strategy and coaching of team members to effectively drive the success of the entire Oncology portfolio.
• Demonstrates mastery clinical knowledge of the Oncology portfolio product line and mastery selling ability to drive revenue with accounts by gaining commitment from thought leaders, MD decision makes, pathology, genetics, and c-suite.
• Provides quality process recommendations into oncology pathways for treatment decisions. Including but not limited to the LEAN methodology to drive consistent, executive, or administrative leadership with top-down support and staff pull-through of bottom-up changes, for reliable and dependable processes that support physician behavior and impact patient outcomes. (LEAN certification completion within 12 months of start date)
• Builds relationships between different disciplines across the academic and community network of health care providers to optimize an integrated multidisciplinary approach to set pathways for testing to define the optimal treatment decisions.
• Develops strategic relationships with societies and Key Opinion Leaders who are influential in creating change in your defined geography. Examples of strategic relationships may also include billing, legal, process efficiency, quality, practice management, clinical administrators that guide decisions in large health systems or multi-site physician practices.
• Collabora tes with Account Executives, Associate Sales Representatives, Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers and Area Managers to target, plan and drive test utilization within community oncology practices, pathology departments, large healthcare practices, hospitals, or health system facilities at the clinical, and operations level, to achieve improved patient outcomes.
• Maintain relationships and current market share in key accounts in assigned geography.

Required Experience
• BS. degree required; MBA preferred.
• Six Sigma or Lean Healthcare Certifications (or achievement within 12 months of start date)
• Previous experience as a Product Specialist in the Oncology space, or Strategic Account Manager specific to somatic testing and/or tumor pathology.
• 5 + years of sales experience in diagnostic testing, molecular testing, medical device, and/or capital equipment.
• 2+ years of experience supporting and selling somatic testing and/or working in tumor pathology space; equivalent tumor pathology knowledge will be considered

• Uses discretion and professionalism as it relates to handling patient and physician information and documentation. 
• Record of accomplishment of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient
• Systems and Software - proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM, preferably Salesforce
• Ability to travel daily in the assigned territory; 50 – 60% overnight travel.
