We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join us as an Oncology Territory Sales Manager. This role is essential in driving sales and achieving targets within the prostate cancer therapeutic area. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in urology or medical oncology, is highly collaborative, and thrives in a dynamic, start-up environment. You will be expected to act with urgency and deliver results that align with our company's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including medical oncology and urology providers, radiation oncologists, medical groups, and patient advocacy groups.
• Develop expertise in product information and communicate clinically relevant messages to all stakeholders effectively.
• Generate product demand through meaningful interactions with healthcare providers, demonstrating a deep understanding of the prostate cancer patient journey and utilizing approved educational resources.
• Craft and execute a strategic territory business plan to drive sales efforts and track progress.
• Monitor market trends and competitive activities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, Training and Development, and Market Access teams to meet sales objectives.
• Adhere to compliance policies and regulatory guidelines related to product promotion and information dissemination.
• Manage a potentially large territory that may require occasional overnight travel.
Key Competencies:
• Demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals in assigned territories.
• Thorough knowledge of the medical oncology and urology landscape.
• Proficient in presenting scientific and marketing materials effectively.
• Ability to navigate virtual customer engagement effectively.
• Familiarity with technology platforms and business tools.
• Experience discussing practice business drivers, including GPO contracts and reimbursement processes.
• Understanding of the reimbursement environment and distribution dynamics within the territory.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in life sciences or business administration.
• At least 7 years of proven commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a preference for specialty pharmaceuticals.
• Current or recent experience in Urology, Oncology, or Men's Health is essential.
• Prior experience with product launches in oncology or urology is preferred.
• Experience in a start-up environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with Account Management, Market Access, or Advocacy roles is a plus.
• Experience in Account Based Settings such as Academic Hospitals and IDNs.
Travel and Physical Demands:
• A valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required.
• Approximately 75-80% travel is expected, including overnight stays as needed.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and work on a computer for extended periods.
• Capability to sit for long periods, with occasional requirements to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, and lift up to 20 pounds.
The base salary range for this position is $150,400.00 - $188,000.00, complemented by our total rewards package, including merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, and various insurances. Our generous time-off policy consists of flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, additional time off during the last week of December, and paid sick time upon hire and annually thereafter.
