Oncology RN

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks an experienced Oncology RN to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to adult oncology patients in acute and/or outpatient settings. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, chemo/biotherapy and blood product administration, symptom management, and thorough EMR documentation. You will educate patients and families, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and uphold strict safety protocols for hazardous drugs. Responsibilities
• Provide evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients across the treatment continuum (diagnosis, chemo/biotherapy, radiation, survivorship, palliative).
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive infusions, monitoring for and managing adverse reactions.
• Perform thorough assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and document accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, symptom management, and discharge plans.
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, pharmacists, social workers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and psychosocial support, escalating changes in condition promptly.
• Follow all oncology-specific safety protocols for hazardous drugs, PPE, and waste handling.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice projects, and unit-based committees.
• Precept and mentor new staff/travelers, modeling Fusion's values of transparency, accountability, and teamwork.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
