Oncology RN

Responsibilities
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based oncology nursing care to adult patients across treatment phases.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and blood products safely and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update individualized care plans.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and symptom management.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Manage central lines, infusion devices, and maintain strict infection control practices.
• Monitor labs, vital signs, and treatment response; escalate changes promptly.
• Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain regulatory and safety standards.
• Participate in patient care conferences and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and mentor less-experienced staff when applicable.
