As an Oncology Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care by collaborating with a dedicated team. You will play a crucial role in shaping patient outcomes and advancing the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon admission and during each shift, quickly identifying and addressing any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, meticulously documenting all care activities in patient records.
• Provide exceptional service by swiftly responding to patient needs and anticipating their requirements.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, and potential side effects, ensuring their full understanding.
Qualifications:
Required Licensure:
• Active RN license in Texas or a Compact state
• BCLS certification
• Completion of Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Course within 6 months of hire
Education:
• ADN or BSN degree
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-2 years nursing experience
• Certification in ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy
• Competency in computer skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Collaborative team player focused on quality care
