Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about oncology, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients.
Responsibilities
• Provide oncology patient assessment, treatment planning, follow-up, and symptom management
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate personalized theranostics treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment expectations and supportive care
• Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostics, and prescribe medications within scope of practice
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and participate in multidisciplinary care planning
• Support clinical research and clinical trial activities as needed
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program
• Current and unrestricted Maryland NP license
• 10+ years of nursing experience with at least 5 years in oncology
• Strong oncology clinical knowledge and patient education skills
• Outpatient oncology or radiopharmaceutical therapy experience preferred
• Oncology certification (AOCNP) strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with electronic medical records
