Job Description
Join our team as an Oncology Inpatient Registered Nurse, where your contributions to patient care will be highly valued. You'll collaborate with your manager and participate in various councils to influence decisions that enhance patient outcomes and shape the future of nursing.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to department requirements and nursing standards. You will work closely with medical providers and the care team to deliver personalized and compassionate care, following the 'Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage' nursing model. Your role will also include acting as an advocate for patients and families, ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
• Evaluate patient conditions during admission and each shift, promptly reporting any significant changes.
• Execute prescribed procedures and ensure timely documentation of care administration in patient medical records.
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and take necessary actions for any adverse reactions.
• Provide exemplary patient care by responding quickly to requests, anticipating needs, and resolving issues effectively.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up procedures, ensuring clear understanding.
Qualifications
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice or an active compact license as per regulations.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
