As an Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse, you will work under the direction of the department chief or nurse leader, providing comprehensive nursing care for a complex patient population. Key responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and specialty infusion therapies, offering patient education, coordinating follow-up care, and managing practice support. You will also need to be proficient in IV placement, IV medication preparation and administration, and IM injections. The role demands clinical expertise, critical thinking, collaborative practice, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of clinical research principles.

Position Details:
• Location: 133 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA
• Department: Oncology
• Schedule: 30 HRS Weekly, days to be determined

Primary Responsibilities:
• Support procedural processes as part of a collaborative care team.
• Organize resources and activities for safe, efficient procedural flow.
• Perform nursing procedures within scope, such as IV placement, medication administration, injections, wound care, EKGs, and glucose testing.
• Deliver patient education and instructions pre- and post-infusion, maintaining accurate documentation and patient confidentiality.
• Monitor patient conditions throughout the infusion process and communicate relevant data to the care team.
• Administer medications as per physician orders and assist with oncology and infusion care coordination.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, credentials, and certifications (BCLS and specialty certifications).
• Contribute to staff education, department meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Act as a resource for patient flow management and foster collaborative relationships.

Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse education program.
• Active and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of MA.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in oncology or infusion nursing.
• Solid understanding of chemotherapy and infusion protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in medical/surgical or ambulatory nursing.
• Experience with Peripheral IV and Port Access.
• Experience with an electronic medical records system, particularly EPIC.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. The hourly pay for this role ranges from $43.63 to $81.04 based on full-time employment.
