The Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with an integrated team of experienced and compassionate professionals, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to provide the best care for our cancer patients.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our outpatient Infusion Centers, you will deliver holistic nursing care to patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing comprehensive patient assessments and providing effective symptom management along with patient and family education.
• Administering chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions safely.
• Working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care during various stages of treatment.
• Coordinating with provider offices to facilitate patient scheduling for infusion treatments.
• Triage patients based on pathways in collaboration with physicians for symptom management and referrals.
• Managing a caseload of patients undergoing various infusion and oral therapies.
• Utilizing strong organizational skills to manage a complex workload while delivering safe, high-quality care.
• Communicating efficiently with diverse audiences to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Engaging in continuous professional development and contributing to enhancing patient experience.
• Participating in clinical support program implementation to ensure optimal patient care across the healthcare continuum.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• Current Connecticut RN License
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or within the first month of hire)
Education: BSN strongly preferred
Experience: Two (2) years of previous Oncology Nursing experience strongly preferred
