Oncology Clinical Trials Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their growing Winship Clinical Trials team. This role offers an integral position within an integrated academic health care system, focusing on the evaluation and treatment of oncology patients. The position is eligible for an annual APP incentive plan and provides comprehensive benefits starting on day one.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients

• Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records

• Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems

• Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures

• Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment

• Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures

Shift & Schedule

• 4/10 hour shifts per week position

• 8a-5:30p

• Standard Hours: 40 Hours

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program

• Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

• Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia

• BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required

• Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP) for inpatient roles within Emory Healthcare

• 2 years of oncology APP experience preferred
