Oncology Clinical Pharmacist – Manager or Lead
Location: Champaign, IL- Relocation Assistance Available
Hybrid Opportunity Available: Providers are open to discussing a hybrid or partial remote work schedule with qualified pharmacist candidates.
Compensation: $155,000–$170,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) + 10% annual performance bonus & $10,000 sign-on bonus
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No nights
• No weekends
• No on-call responsibilities

Position Overview
A respected, community-based hematology/oncology practice in Champaign is seeking an experienced Oncology Clinical Pharmacist ready to take ownership of their work and play a key leadership role within the organization.
This is a rare opportunity to serve as the sole clinical pharmacist for a busy infusion center, with full operational responsibility, direct physician collaboration, and a schedule that supports true work-life balance.
What You'll Do
• Lead all pharmacy operations for a busy 20-chair infusion center
• Oversee chemotherapy compounding and sterile pharmacy services
• Review chemotherapy medication orders, dosing, and treatment protocols
• Evaluate patient clinical data, including laboratory results and vital signs, to ensure treatment appropriateness
• Ensure compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and all applicable regulatory standards
• Collaborate directly with oncology physicians on treatment planning and medication management
• Manage, mentor, and direct the workflow of four pharmacy technicians
• Support safe, accurate, and timely delivery of oncology therapies
• Maintain quality standards and continuously improve pharmacy operations

Required Qualifications
• PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree
• Active Illinois Pharmacist License
• Clinical pharmacy experience in hematology/oncology
• Chemotherapy and hazardous drug compounding experience
• Experience with chemotherapy protocols and order verification
• Strong knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 standards
• Experience in sterile compounding and regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications
• Epic and/or Epic Beacon experience
• Experience in a QOPI-certified oncology practice
• Experience with Medically Integrated Dispensing (MID)
