JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Solid Tumor team at the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC), an esteemed National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional inpatient care to patients facing oncological challenges, including both known and unknown diseases.

CLINIC HOURS: Variable 10 to 12-hour shifts, including one weekend per month and holidays.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required:
• Master's degree from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
• Current certifications and licenses appropriate for Advanced Practice Providers in Texas

Preferred:
• Minimum of 1 year relevant clinical experience in oncology or inpatient care

JOB DUTIES
• Conduct thorough and ongoing physical examinations and document findings accurately
• Develop and implement patient care plans, including the ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Perform necessary medical procedures and demonstrate strong technical skills relevant to the specialty
• Provide management and education to patients and families regarding treatment options and preventive care
• Contribute to quality improvement and clinical research initiatives
