Job Description
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – School-Based
Location: Allentown, PA
Position Type: Full-Time | School Year
We are seeking a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our special education team for the upcoming school year. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality therapy services that help students develop the skills needed to succeed in the educational environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and small-group settings.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring for IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions as appropriate.
Qualifications
• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Pennsylvania Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
• Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
