Opportunity Overview

This is an excellent fit for an experienced Occupational Therapist who enjoys outpatient orthopedics but also wants the autonomy to help shape a growing rehab program. The role offers schedule flexibility, built-in documentation time, and the opportunity to establish OT services at a newer rural medical center.

Position Details
• Flexible full-time schedule with either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days.
• Approximately 8 scheduled patients on a 5x8 schedule or 10 on a 4x10 schedule, with administrative/documentation time built into the day.
• Majority outpatient orthopedic caseload, with a smaller outpatient neuro component and limited acute-care volume.
• Broad clinical scope including upper-extremity diagnoses, wound care, tendon repairs, fractures, and custom orthosis/splint fabrication.
• Help develop, implement, and coordinate the OT program rather than stepping into a fully established model.
• One rehab tech/aide is available to support the OT at each location.
• Future growth may include additional inpatient/swing-bed rehabilitation services.

Compensation and Benefits
• Annual salary range: $100,000-$120,000.
• 15,000 - Sign-on bonus + $15,000 retention bonus after 1 year completion
• Relocation assistance available up to $15,000

• 19.5 days of vacation annually to start (156 hours), with additional vacation available as years of service increase.
• IHS Student loan repayment eligibility up to $50,000 every two years.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited U.S. program required; Master's or doctoral degree preferred.
• Three years of Occupational Therapy experience required; new graduates are not being considered for this opening.
• Current, unrestricted Arizona OT license required for direct hires.
• Experience with upper-extremity rehabilitation, splinting/custom orthosis fabrication, outpatient orthopedics, and strong documentation practices is highly relevant.
• Bilingual English/Navajo skills are preferred but not required.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license and successful background investigation required.

• Flagstaff serves as the nearest larger regional hub for commercial air service, dining, shopping, entertainment, and university-town amenities.
• Easy access to hiking, skiing, stargazing, Sedona, the Grand Canyon region, Meteor Crater, and Petrified Forest National Park.
• Nearby Route 66 communities provide additional housing, dining, and everyday amenities within commuting distance.
• Limited employee housing is available at the medical center, with clinical and on-call staff receiving higher priority.
