Job Description
Northeast Wisconsin Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (NEWTRO) is seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Clinician (NP/PA) to join their growing team in Northeast Wisconsin. This part-time role (0.6-0.8 FTE) offers a unique opportunity to specialize in Radiation Oncology within a collaborative, physician-led environment. The successful candidate will become an integral member of a multidisciplinary oncology program dedicated to patient-centered care and clinical innovation.
Practice Info
• Physician-owned, physician-led Radiation Oncology practice dedicated exclusively to the care of patients with cancer
• Serves patients throughout Northeast Wisconsin in close partnership with Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Emplify Health by Bellin, and the Medical College of Wisconsin
• Actively expanding disease-oriented programs across Neuro-Oncology, Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, Hematologic, and Head & Neck Oncology
• Deploys advanced technologies including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), adaptive radiotherapy, image-guided radiation therapy, advanced neuro-imaging integration, connectomics, and clinical research initiatives
• Multidisciplinary team includes Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Radiologists, Palliative Care specialists, Oncology Navigation, and Clinical Research teams
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and symptom assessments
• Perform routine and urgent on-treatment visits for patients receiving radiation therapy
• Manage treatment-related toxicities and supportive care needs
• Provide survivorship and long-term follow-up care for cancer patients
• Evaluate and manage radiation-related complications and late effects
• Coordinate multidisciplinary oncology care
• Support same-day evaluations and urgent symptom management
• Participate in tumor boards, quality initiatives, and program development

Shift & Schedule

• This position is anticipated to be 0.6-0.8 FTE (24-32 hours per week)
• Clinical schedule and coverage responsibilities will be determined collaboratively based on practice needs and provider availability
Requirements
• Required: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Required: Current Wisconsin NP or PA licensure (or eligibility)
• Required: DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• Required: BLS certification
• Preferred: Minimum two years of oncology, radiation oncology, hematology/oncology, neurosurgery, palliative care, or related specialty experience
• Preferred: Experience managing complex medical patients
• Preferred: Familiarity with EPIC or other electronic health record systems
• Preferred: Interest in cancer care, program development, and clinical innovation
• No visa sponsorship available
