Job Description

Indiana University Health Medical Group- Metro Region is seeking a collaborative and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. This full-time outpatient position offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license while caring for patients across several complex and rewarding disease specialties, including Sarcoma, Head & Neck Cancer, Thoracic Oncology, and Melanoma.

The successful candidate will join a close-knit group of four Advanced Practice Providers within our Multidisciplinary Clinic and work in partnership with an experienced APP colleague. This role provides a high degree of autonomy, allowing APPs to independently manage follow-up visits while benefiting from the support and expertise of a highly collaborative physician and APP team.

Position Details

• Full-time, Days
• Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
• 100% Outpatient
• Patient population: Oncology patients with sarcoma, thoracic cancers, head/neck cancers and melanoma

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient oncology care for adult patients across multiple disease specialties.
• Independently evaluate and manage follow-up patients.
• Develop longitudinal relationships with patients and families throughout their cancer journey.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, research teams, and other multidisciplinary partners.
• Participate in disease-specific multidisciplinary clinics and treatment planning discussions.
• Support evidence-based, patient-centered oncology care delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required
• ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PA certification required
• Preferred experience in Hematology Oncology, Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Surgical Oncology, or management of medically complex adult patients
• Our ideal candidate will have medical competence, strong communication and critical thinking skills
