Nurse Practitioner – Workplace Primary Care (PRN)

Overview

PRN NP role providing onsite primary care for City of Clearwater employees. Coverage needed during provider PTO.

Schedule

• PRN
• Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
• Must be able to cover full clinic hours when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care in an employer‑based clinic
• Deliver episodic and low‑acuity urgent care
• Manage short‑term acute care follow‑ups
• Perform CLIA‑waived tests and dispense medications
• Conduct biometric screenings and wellness education
• Provide one‑on‑one health coaching
• Collaborate with HR/Benefits and clinic care team

Qualifications

• Active Autonomous NP license in Florida (required)
• DEA license and prescriptive authority
• 2+ years of independent NP experience in internal medicine or family practice
• Strong primary care background; women’s health experience preferred
• Chronic disease management experience preferred
• EHR experience; EPIC a plus
• Strong interpersonal and customer‑focused communication
• Reliable attendance and ability to cover clinic hours
