Part-Time Nurse Practitioner | Melrose, MA
Mystic Valley Sexual Wellness is a direct-care women's health practice in Melrose, MA specializing in hormone optimization, perimenopause and menopause care, and sexual medicine. We're a small-panel practice built around highly individualized care, and we're looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner to begin early November.
Schedule: 6-8hrs/wk to start. Hybrid, combining in-office visits with the option to work from home. This role is well suited to parents balancing family life, or to any NP looking to transition into concierge-style care with more flexibility and fewer, more meaningful patient visits.
About the role:
This is a patient-facing clinical role treating conditions including perimenopause, menopause, low libido, and related sexual health and metabolic concerns. You'll work within your own scope and comfort level; if conditions like vulvodynia or dyspareunia aren't an area you currently treat, that's completely fine, and there's real opportunity for mentoring in that space if you'd like to grow into it. You'll work within an established care model, with support from our founder. As the practice grows, there's also room to help shape and build out programs based on your own clinical interests.
Comfort with our cash-pay, direct-care model is a must. We don't bill insurance, so candidates should be fully aligned with practicing outside a traditional insurance-based model before applying.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a patient panel including initial consults and ongoing hormone and sexual health care, within your scope of practice
• Evaluate and treat perimenopause, menopause, and related hormonal conditions
• Prescribe and manage hormone therapy, including FDA-approved options and compounded when appropriate
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in our EMR
• Collaborate with our pharmacy and specialist partners on patient care
Qualifications:
• Active NP certification
• MSCP (Menopause Society Certified Practitioner) credential highly preferred
• Active Massachusetts NP license and prescriptive authority (DEA licensure required)
• Experience with hormone therapy or menopause care strongly preferred
• Comfortable discussing sexual health topics directly and compassionately with patients
• Strong documentation habits and EMR proficiency
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience, from $65/hr
