Job Description
Intermountain Health is seeking a Nurse Clinical Leader for our inpatient medical oncology unit. In this role, you will provide clinical and operational leadership for a multidisciplinary team delivering complex cancer care. Responsibilities include coordinating patient-centered care, mentoring nurses, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and optimizing workflows. Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership for inpatient medical oncology unit, ensuring safe, evidence-based nursing care
• Coordinate patient care plans with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Supervise and mentor bedside nurses, providing coaching, feedback, and performance support
• Oversee admission, treatment, and discharge processes to optimize quality, safety, and patient experience
• Monitor clinical outcomes, implement quality improvement initiatives, and support accreditation standards
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain appropriate nurse-patient ratios
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and post-discharge care
• Support implementation of clinical protocols, oncology best practices, and infection prevention standards
• Use electronic health records to document care, track outcomes, and support care coordination
