Job Summary
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a vital role in patient care, performing essential nuclear imaging procedures and administering radiopharmaceuticals while strictly adhering to safety standards. Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations using advanced equipment.
• Ensuring patient care and comfort in compliance with department policies.
• Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and therapeutic dosages under physician guidance.
• Operating radiation-detecting equipment to facilitate patient imaging procedures.
• Implementing safety standards and quality assurance in every procedure.
• Collecting and analyzing patient information to provide high-quality diagnostic images.
• Cross-training in positron emission tomography computed tomography (PETCT) as needed.
You will also be expected to exhibit teamwork, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times, remaining adaptable to changes and advancements in technology.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
• Completion of an educational program and clinical experience recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or a formal AMA-accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
• Certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (NMTBC) is required.
• A minimum of one year experience as a staff radiologic technologist is preferred; however, graduates from formal Nuclear Medicine programs may apply without prior experience.
• A deep understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including film processing, quality control, and radiation protection.
