Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Methodist Health System is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients across our Dallas facilities. In this role, you will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate nuclear medicine cameras, and ensure accurate image acquisition while adhering to strict radiation safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and protocols
• Prepare, calculate, and safely administer radiopharmaceuticals
• Operate and troubleshoot nuclear medicine cameras and related equipment
• Verify patient identity, obtain history, and explain procedures to patients and families
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and follow radiation safety standards
• Process images, evaluate technical quality, and submit studies for interpretation
• Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and quality control records
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members for coordinated care
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and infection control standards
• Participate in continuing education and support orientation of new staff or students
