The Nuclear Medicine Specialist, under the general supervision of the Stress Lab Manager, will perform important duties including routine nuclear cardiology, radiopharmacy, and quality control procedures. This role involves documenting, obtaining, and processing images or data from nuclear medicine technology, providing critical results to the physician for interpretation. You will also handle ordering, assaying, dispensing, and administering radioactive materials, which are vital for understanding the structure and function of major organ systems.
Primary Location: Middletown-155 (must be able to float to Monroe and West Nyack)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30am/7:00am to 2:30pm/3:00pm
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Performing routine and specialized nuclear cardiology and nuclear medicine procedures
• Administering radiopharmaceuticals and medications for imaging and therapeutic procedures
• Acquiring, processing, and evaluating images to ensure their technical quality
• Providing data, images, and documentation to physicians for interpretation
• Managing radiopharmacy duties including ordering and dispensing radioactive materials
• Conducting quality control procedures and maintaining equipment calibration
• Reviewing patient history to ensure the appropriateness and safety of exams
• Educating patients regarding procedures and equipment
• Assisting with accreditation processes (e.g., ACR) and departmental workflows

Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a JRCNMT-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• NYS DOH License (L.N.M.T.)
• ARRT (N) or CNMT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• IV certification or eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in a relevant field
• Additional certifications such as PET or NCT
Physical Requirements:
• Active work; must be able to stand or sit for extended periods
• Must be able to move or lift patients onto stretchers, tables, or wheelchairs as needed
Your compensation will be competitive, reflecting factors such as local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and a 401k contribution, all subject to eligibility requirements. Your pay for this position will range from $46.15 - $69.20 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
