Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Flex
Pay: $40.40 - $56.56 / hour. Pay is based on the applicant's relevant experience.
This is an onsite position and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.
Summary:
As a Nuclear Medicine Specialist, you will perform complex nuclear medicine imaging and therapy procedures in alignment with our established standards, policies, and our organization's mission. Your expertise will be essential in providing safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities:
• Review patient history and physician orders; efficiently schedule and educate patients on procedures to ensure cooperation and understanding.
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and manage the disposal of radiopharmaceuticals according to safety protocols and regulations.
• Continuously monitor patient conditions, quickly responding to status changes as necessary.
• Prepare equipment and select appropriate imaging parameters; implement safety standards and conduct quality control procedures to ensure equipment reliability.
• Position patients accurately for imaging procedures while analyzing results to identify any quality issues; take necessary actions to resolve issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures when needed.
• Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
• Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure as required by law.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in hand before the start date. The BLS or CPR card must be valid for 60 days post-hire.
