MedStar Health is excited to invite a highly qualified Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Specialist to join our esteemed nuclear medicine group comprising seven dedicated physicians. As part of MedStar Medical Group Radiology, one of the leading radiology practices serving the D.C. and Maryland regions, this position is centered at Washington Hospital Center, with opportunities to provide remote cross-coverage to all other MedStar hospitals.
Important Qualification Note:
This position is exclusively for specialized Nuclear Medicine physicians. We are currently accepting applications only from candidates board-certified in Nuclear Medicine and are not considering dual-boarded (Radiology/Nuclear Medicine) candidates for this opening.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver expert interpretation of a comprehensive range of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging procedures, including PET/CT and SPECT/CT.
• Exhibit clinical proficiency in various PET/CT modalities such as Cardiac, Neuroendocrine (NET), and PSMA imaging.
• Lead and conduct specialized therapies and diagnostic exams (Theranostics) utilizing our cutting-edge facilities.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of seven nuclear medicine colleagues and the broader radiology group to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Qualifications
• Certification: Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine is required. Board Eligible candidates may apply and will be considered based on a thorough review of training and references.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred. However, candidates with fewer years may be considered if they have significant exposure to advanced imaging technologies during their training or previous practice.
• Licensure: Ability to obtain or maintain a medical license in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.
