Nuclear Medicine Physician Assistant – Locum Tenens Opportunity | Maryland
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity supporting a nationally recognized federal research and healthcare institution in Maryland. This is a unique opportunity to work within a highly specialized Nuclear Medicine department in a collaborative academic and research-focused environment.

Clinical Responsibilities
Providers will assist supervising physicians with comprehensive nuclear medicine patient care, including:
•
Reviewing and documenting clinical histories, laboratory results, pathology reports, and imaging studies
•
Performing and updating patient history and physical examinations
•
Assisting with informed consent for invasive and therapeutic procedures
•
Supporting diagnostic imaging and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
•
Administering adjunctive and interventional medications per institutional guidelines
•
Performing pre- and post-procedure assessments and patient monitoring
•
Assisting with moderate sedation and anxiolysis under physician supervision
Required Qualifications
•
Active Physician Assistant license in any state accepted
•
Strong clinical assessment and procedural experience preferred
•
Comfortable working in a highly regulated federal healthcare environment
•
Ability to complete and maintain federal security clearance requirements
Additional Information

Federal security clearance required prior to start
•
Candidates must remain responsive throughout the clearance process to avoid delays
•
Assignment commitment strongly preferred for 6–12 months
•
No travel or lodging reimbursement provided
