Join our dedicated team at the Department of Veterans VA Medical Center as a Nuclear Medicine Physician! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled physician to provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care to our inpatient and outpatient veteran patients.
Your core responsibilities will include:
• Performing a full range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, from evaluation and triaging to administering contrast and obtaining informed consent.
• Providing formal interpretations of Nuclear Medicine results within 24 hours, adhering to all relevant Joint Commission and Radiology Service policies.
• Consulting with other medical services on patient care regarding Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Conducting post-procedure evaluations and providing clinical consultations regarding any complications.
• Supervising residents and medical students in alignment with the guidelines set forth by the Veterans Health Care Administration.
• Ensuring timely verification of all examinations as per VAMCSF performance standards.
• Being present in specialized radiology areas during conscious sedation cases.
• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment and completing any additional responsibilities as needed.
As a Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will also be involved in essential administrative tasks such as:
• Accurately completing clinical and medical documentation, utilizing computerized patient record systems when applicable.
• Participating in staff meetings and fulfilling other administrative obligations.
• Adhering to safety standards and policies from Joint Commission, OSHA, VA, and Radiology Service.
• Engaging in clinical conferences and collaborative rounds with other services.

In addition, you will be responsible for:
• Reporting specific patient outcomes, including complications, to the Chief of Radiology Service.

• Providing technical guidance to residents and fellows while ensuring appropriate supervision and documentation.

• Expected Salary: Ranges from $340K to $400K (negotiable based on qualifications and experience).
• Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm PST.
• Pay: Competitive salary with annual performance bonuses and regular increases.
